This EPIC contract is executed by PTSC Offshore Services Company (POS) as the EPIC Contractor with the scope of work including engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning the Booster Compressor of the Rong Doi field with the weight more than 420T, together with the discharge cooler, suction cooler, suction scrubber with the total weight is 100T . The total contract value is 46.6 million USD and the targeted completion time is December 2012.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hung Dzung – General Director of PTSC emphasized “This is the first time ever that POS, a subsidiary of PTSC, has performed as an EPIC Contractor with the scope of work including engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning one of the most important structures of Booster Compressor complex. This significant project requires complex technical technology that set out higher requirements for POS in workforce supply, Operation & Maintenance and technology assistance in comparison with the previous projects. It has marked a remarkable growth of POS in term of capability and quality given the fact that POS was only established in 2007. Currently, the operation & maintenance and subsea structure installation which is POS’s scope of services, has been focused as one of the 7 core services of PTSC’s focal development. Under the good instruction of PetroVietnam, PTSC has built up an experienced and devoted workforce as well as compatible quality facilities; therefore, we strongly believe in meeting the stringent requirements of our Clients.”
Mr Dzung also expressed the gratitude to PetroVietnam and PTSC’s Clients, especially KNOC who has been cooperating in good faith with PTSC. Since 2005, KNOC is PTSC’s regular client with many service contracts.
